CrazyTalk for Skype allows you to set the default status:
Click
Settings to show the Settings window. The Settings window includes
4 parts: General, Camera, Avatar and Media. In General, you can change the general
settings.

General Settings
Change Language allows you to change user interface to the selected language.
Camera Settings
Select Camera allows you to select your default camera. If you have multiple cameras installed on your PC, you need to select one of them.
Check Popup confirm dialog when switch to
Web Camera checkbox and the confirm dialog will pop up while you change
to Web Camera
.
This can ensure you not to send the web camera video when you are not ready
to show your face.
Check the Switch to avatar video while calling
checkbox to have the video call in the avatar video mode instead of
the video from your web camera. This function prevents you from being seen
by your partner until you switch to Web Camera
.
Avatar Settings
Click Mouse tracking to trigger head movement checkbox and it allows you to enable the head and eyes tracking of your avatar using your mouse.
Check the Always enable idle animation box so the avatar selected sways in idle status as a real person.
Drag the slider to decide the Frame rate for your IM partners viewing.
Media Settings
Check the Resolution matching and quality improvement box so the scaled image can be seen in best quality.
Set the Delay time per slide (second) for each image last for specific seconds.
