  1) After I have uninstalled CrazyTalk for Skype, I clicked Do More > CrazyTalk in Skype 3.0 top menu, and I got "cannot find CT4Skype.exe" message. Hence I cannot uninstall or install CrazyTalk again.
  2) What other devices are installed in Skype after I have installed CrazyTalk for Skype?
  3) I have bought CrazyTalk for Skype avatars (or emotions) but cannot install them in my program.
  4) "Initialization failed" error occurs when I am running CrazyTalk for Skype.
  5) I have Skype 4.0 installed, but CrazyTalk for Skype will not install on my computer, instead giving me the message “CrazyTalk for Skype requires your Skype to upgrade to version 3.0 or higher”.
 

1) After I have uninstalled CrazyTalk for Skype, I clicked Do More > CrazyTalk in Skype 3.0 top menu, and I got "cannot find CT4Skype.exe" message. Hence I cannot uninstall or install CrazyTalk again.

Under some condition, uninstall CrazyTalk from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel will cause this problem. Install program again from:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Skype\Plugins\Plugins\7B5560BB781B40259A06350E9B643B6E\CT4SkypePlugin10_Multi_Lite.exe"
(C:\ is your system location)

And if you would like to remove CrazyTalk for Skype, it is recommended to remove program via Skype Extra Manager using the following steps:
1. Click Tools from Skype top menu and then click Do More > Organize my Extras to organize your Extras.

2. Choose My Extras > CrazyTalk, and click Menu, select Uninstall.


2) What other devices are installed in Skype after I have installed CrazyTalk for Skype?

The virtual camera devices are installed after you have installed CrazyTalk for Skype. They will not do any damage to your Skype and Windows System.

To locate it, go to Skype Menu Bar > Tools > Options. Choose "Video" in the left of the popup dialog. In "Select webcam", you can find "RLVirCam".


When CrazyTalk for Skype runs under your Skype conference call, the system will auto-switch to "RLVirCam". The system will auto-switch back to the previous camera setting after you end the call.
Note: Do not change the setting manually. The system will auto-switch for your convenience.




3) I have bought CrazyTalk for Skype avatars (or emotions) but cannot install them in my program.

To provide better animation results and user experience, please make sure your CrazyTalk for Skype program version is 1.1.1624.1 or above. Free Download the newest version and install the content again.



4) "Initialization failed" error occurs when I am running CrazyTalk for Skype .

After you installed CrazyTalk for Skype, you are launching ‘CrazyTalk for Skype. Then, “Initialization failed” error occurs. The cause of this situation is that CrazyTalk for Skype does not support “Skype for Business” (MSI version). Thus, “CrazyTalk for Skype” can’t be launched successfully. Please try to download the common version of Skype. Then, you will need to re-install the common version of Skype.



5) I have Skype 4.0 installed, but CrazyTalk for Skype will not install on my computer, instead giving me the message “CrazyTalk for Skype requires your Skype to upgrade to version 3.0 or higher”.

Despite having Skype 4.0 installed already, you still get the following error during the installation of CrazyTalk for Skype:

• CrazyTalk for Skype requires your Skype to upgrade to version 3.0 or higher!

The error looks as follows:

Cause:
This issue is a result of a version identification inconsistency between Skype 3.x and Skype 4.x.

Solution:
Please follow below instructions to solve this issue.

Step 1: Backup your Skype 4.x registry data.
a) Click the “Start Button” and select “Run”.
b) Type “regedit” into the text field behind “Open” and click “OK” to start the “Windows Registry Editor”.
c) Browse to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Skype\Phone\UI”.
d) Click on the “File” menu and select “Export…”.
e) Chose a location to save the .reg Registry Entries to (we recommend saving the file to your “Desktop” to make it easier to find it again)
f) Type in a filename of your choice and click “Save” to save the file to your “Desktop”.

Step 2: Set the Skype version identifier to allow CrazyTalk for Skype to be installed.
a) Please click on below link to download “Skype 4.0 compatibility issue.zip”:

b) Unzip the contents of "Skype 4.0 compatibility issue.zip" to your “Desktop”.
c) Double click the file “Before installing.reg” and confirm the action.

Step 3: Install CrazyTalk for Skype.

Step 4: Restore your original Skype 4.x registry data.
a) After CrazyTalk for Skype has been installed successfully, double click the .reg file you have saved in step 1 to revert your Skype registry data back to normal.
