Applying Functional Templates

Animate the actor along with the rhythm of the song by applying a functional template, then view the motion pattern in the preview window.

Applying Functional Templates from the Library

In the sample project, the actor feels uneasy and avoids the sight of the audience during his first try.

  1. Drag the play head to an empty time frame in the Timeline panel.
  2. Load an audio clip and select Talk Mode for the default auto motion, when the model has to lip-sync to the song.
  3. The audio clip will then be stored in the Viseme track with its audio waves in the Voice track, as well as the automatically generated Auto Motion in the Auto Motion track. Click to highlight the Auto Motion clip.
  4. Switch the Content Manager to Auto Motion >> 01_Functional, then double-click on the Rolling Eyes >> Look Around template from the Functional Library to change the motion pattern.
  5. Note:
In order to get more templates for the libraries, you may freely download and install the bonus pack from the official web site.
  6. The actor will then be animated to the given motion pattern with his eyes looking around nervously. You may have the actor make even more exaggerated mouth shapes to the lyrics by modifying the lip-sync keys in the Lips track, or refer to the sections below to design a unique Auto Motion of your own.
