Using the puppeteering tool,
you may create a custom motion clip for the actor.
To access the Face Puppet panel,
click the Face Puppet
button on the tool bar.
Preview
You may preview the puppeteering results.

Pick 1_Male from the Face Animation Profile list for a human face.

Click the Preview button and press the Space Bar to start previewing.

Move your mouse to puppet. The selected facial features (as displayed on the dummy image)
will be triggered along with the crosshair.
Press the Space Bar again to stop previewing.

Record
Follow the steps below to add a gentle head nod for an affirmative end.

Click the Clear Selection
button to unselect all of the highlighted facial features on the dummy image to only make a head nod.

Click the 3D Movement
button to puppet the head with a 3D perspective view.

Click the Record button and press the Space Bar to start recording the motion.

Move your mouse up and down slightly to tilt the head.
Press the Space Bar again to stop recording.

Press the space bar to playback. You may find a need to change the speed of the motion clip.
Change the Speed

Click the Timeline
button (F3) to access the Timeline panel.

Drag the clip to the time frame where the target sentence starts (referring to the waves on the Audio track).

Click the Speed button
and drag the end (right edge) of the clip to the left to speed it up. The shorter the clip, the faster it is and vice versa.

To locate the motion clip, you may

Type-in the frame number in the Current Frame field to jump to the target frame.

Click the Fit to Window
button or use the
Zoom In (+ or Shift + "=") and
Zoom out (-)
buttons to locate the motion clip.

Press the "," button to go back to the start frame;
press the End button to quickly go to the end frame.
