Getting Started Exporting for Mobile Devices

The newest useful feature from CrazyTalk is the export of talking images and messages to a format that is compatible with mobile devices. You can export to formats that are compatible with different brands of mobile phones such as Nokia, Motorola, and Sharp.

To export to mobile formats, do the following:

  1. Select a CrazyTalk model and specify its facial features, type of motion, expressions, etc.

  2. Create a CrazyTalk script to specify the animation and speech.

  3. Click the Mobile tab under Output to start exporting to mobile formats.

  4. A crop box is displayed on the model. Using the moving tools, move it over the image to decide which portion of the image is exported. Resize the box to specify the output frame size. You can also resize the cropping frame using the Output Size option.

  5. Check the Export Timeline Clip if you want to export the selected part of the timeline to mobile format.

  6. Select the Target from the drop-down box. You can choose a resolution for different brands of mobile phones such as Nokia, Sony, Ericsson, and Sharp.

  7. Check the Don't Crop option if you want to display the complete talking image without any cropping from the sides.

  8. Check the Crop option if you want to crop talking image on the sides.

  9. Click the Background Color box to select the background from the color palette.

  10. Specify the dimensions of the output frame by entering the height and width in pixels under Output Size.

  11. Specify the frame rate in frames per second in the Frame Rate box.

  12. Move the Image Quality slider to adjust the image quality. Alternatively, enter a number in the Image Quality box to specify the image quality.

  13. Move the Audio Quality slider to adjust the audio quality.

  14. Click the Export button to export the selected talking image to mobile format. Specify the name and location of the exported file and click Save when done.
