  • Copy a special effect then paste to another place on the track.

  • Double click the pasted special effect and change to another modifiable special effect.

  • Create a blink special effect by choose any special effect and making the Opacity value to zero.

  • Drag the blink special effect forward and cover the front, the latter will replace it.

  • You can create CrazyTalk model by importing the 32 bit bmp image or TGA files. And using CrazyTalk to changing the background. This will totally prevent the background moving while character talking.
       

  • To remove the background in your image editor (like Adobe Photoshop) and save as Targa file. Then Import the .tga file in CrazyTalk model page will see the result.

  • Use the 32 bit BMP file. On the Alpha Channel, to replace the background with black and replace the front with white. Then, Import the bmp file on CrazyTalk model page will see the result.

  • The procedures to create a perfect Special Effect with mask are all the same.

  • How can I create a sequence special effect with sequence tga and bmp?

  • Prepare the sequence images animation and make sure the image size is same.

  • Suggest using the external editor (like Adobe Photoshoo) to edit the mask. Please reference.

  • Choose a modifiable Special Effect and press Modify, then click Import to import the sequence images.

  • Select the last image and continue to press Shift then select the first image to import can make sure the image order are same as you prepared.
      

  • What is the limitation on creating special effects?

  • The maximum images are 36 in numbers. Extra images will be dropped. You can separate to other special effect. Then using CrazyTalk to merge it.

  • The imported image will be arranged in one image and this image size has 1024x1024 pixel limitation. If the exceeds the maximum size. It will be stretched.

    Maximum number: 6x6 = 36
    Maximum size: 1024 *1024

  • How can I create noise signal of TV. ( for example by using Adobe Photoshop )?

  • Create a noise image by click Filter on the menu bar of Photoshop. Press Noise > Add Noise and then the noise will be added to the effect.

  • Change the Hue from Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation. Then save three images with different Hue value.

  • Open CrazyTalk and go the Script page, add a Special Effect. Select Template>Modifiable and choose Full Screen , choose A-Full

  • Press Modify tab and press Image Import, choose the three image and press Open on the file dialog. Then click Preview button will see the result.

  • Create a Model and copy the model image and enhance it as a Full Screen Special Effect.

After you import a WAV file for the speech or use the TTS engine to create the speech, you can choose an Emotive for the complete message. Double-click an Emotives icon and it will add complete facial expression morphs based on the theme of the emotive to your message. Some emotives have comic effects included with them for additional effect. Switch to Timeline mode to see the result of the Emotives. Use the expression strength slider to adjust the intensity of the Emotive.

  • How can I adding actions and special effects to animation tracks?

Double-click anywhere on the Face track or right-click on the Face track to add facial expressions. Double-click anywhere on the SFX track or right-click on the SFX track add special effects.

  • How do I use the Undo and Redo functions?

After you adjust facial expressions, special effects, or movements of the head, eyes or shoulders, you can use the Timeline editing tools to repeat the result anywhere you want in the timeline

To copy an effect, select the icons for the effect from the timeline and click Copy or press Ctrl + C. Then move the cursor to a different location on the timeline and click Paste or press Ctrl + V to duplicate the effect .

  • How do I select an effect or expression from the timeline and move it to a different location?

  1. Click and drag while holding down the mouse button to select the effect icons on the track.

  2. Alternatively, click the start position and then press the Shift key and click the end position to select a part of the timeline.

  3. Drag the selected icons of the effect to the new position.

  • How do I create a new custom facial expression?

Using the template facial expressions, select a facial expression template that is closest to the template you want to create and then click Modify. Use the Facial Features and Muscles tabs to adjust the facial and muscular movements to create a new expression. Press the Add button to add the new expression to the custom expression gallery.

  • How do I achieve perfect lip-synchronization effects?

  • While recording sound or importing a WAV file, make sure that the speech is voice only and try to reduce the noise as much as possible.

  • Do not include any background audio or sound effects; use the background audio feature for this.

  • Use the zooming tools to zoom in on the voice track and then use the Lips track to select the appropriate visemes or lip sync movements to achieve perfect results.

  • How can I improve eye, head, and shoulder movements?

Only models using the CrazyTalk virtual eye library will be able to see the animated eyes. You can add animated eyes to any model, but this may require that you edit the facial fitting to fine-tune the eye outline. Use the Eye, Head, and Shoulders tracks to adjust eye movements for greater effect.
