1) Why are none of my models displayed correctly in CrazyTalk6?

CrazyTalk6 uses a different rendering technique - OpenGL - to enhance performance and requires your graphics card to support OpenGL v1.5 or higher. Please update your graphic card drivers to the latest version and check your graphic card’s specifications from the manufacturer’s web site to verify the OpenGL version.

2) How many heads can I animate with CrazyTalk6?

CrazyTalk6 allows you to import images in .JPG, .BMP, .TGA or .PNG image formats, and the Multiple Model function allows you to animate up to 4 heads.

3) Where can I find the custom script and model files?

The files are normally located under following folder: "Documents and Settings" > "All Users" > "Documents">"Reallusion". The default path is: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Reallusion
- Model data is located under \Custom\CrazyTalk 6 Custom\Model\
- Script data is located under \Shared Custom\CrazyTalk 6 Custom\Script

4) How can I convert the contents in CrazyTalk4 or CrazyTalk5 to CrazyTalk6?

Please use the CrazyTalk6 Content Wizard to copy CrazyTalk5 content (.ctm, .cts, SFX files) to CrazyTalk6. Download CrazyTalk6 Content Wizard

Please note: for CrazyTalk4 content, please use the CrazyTalk5 Content Wizard first, and then use the CrazyTalk6 Content Wizard to copy your CrazyTalk4 content to CrazyTalk6. Download CrazyTalk5 Content Wizard

5) Does the “Drag and Zoom” tool work on the Script Page?

Yes, the function is still supported on the Script Page but will not show the frame since CrazyTalk6 uses a different rendering technique to enhance the performance.

6) Why do I get the following warning message when I try to add a Script to my models?



The number of scripts that can be added to a CrazyTalk6 model is limited 16. Please check the number of scripts on your models’ tracks.

7) Why are my character’s lips not properly synched to my audio file?

Please make sure your audio file does not contain any loud background music as it may affect the accuracy of lip synchronization.

8) Why is there a duplicate of / gray frame around my character when I move it using the Transform/Scale/Rotate features?

This is because your image is used as the background image by default. If you intend to use any Transform/Scale/Rotation effects, it is required to replace the original background with another background or a solid color.

9) Why does my script not playback in its entirety while on the Script page?

While viewing the Stage or Timeline panel, you may notice that the playback of your project ends prematurely. Please make sure your view is zoomed out fully by pressing the “Zoom Out Full” button right above the Stage / Timeline panel.

10) How do I update a custom file in the gallery with my current one?

Select an existing file you want to update from the custom gallery and then click the "Overwrite" button to renew the selected file.

11) Does CrazyTalk6 have Messenger or Greeting Card output formats?

No. Neither CrazyTalk5 nor CrazyTalk6 have these output formats anymore. Please use CrazyTalk4 if you wish to export to Messenger or Greeting Card formats.

12) Why is my CrazyTalk6 not starting?

Do you experience any problems with "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator" series of graphic cards? The problems are caused by an issue within all Intel drivers above version 14.36.1.4977 (released 2008/08/29). Please update to CrazyTalk v6.1 to fix this issue.
