I have DirectX 9.0c / DirectX 10 on my computer, but CrazyTalk6 cannot launch, instead giving me the message "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_3x.dll was not found".
Despite having DirectX 9.0c / DirectX 10 installed on your PC already, you might get the following error:
"This application has failed to start because d3dx9_3x.dll was not found."
Cause:
Microsoft often updates the DirectX 9.0c release without changing the version number. Your DirectX installation lacks d3dx9_3x.dll to run CrazyTalk6.
Note:
Even if you are running Windows Vista with DirectX 10, you will still need to install DirectX 9.0c to run CrazyTalk6. You don't need to worry though since both DirectX 9 and 10 are part of Windows Vista by default.
Solution:
Method 1: Download the "'DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer" and install it:
http://file.reallusion.com/cs/dxwebsetup.exe (208k)
Method 2: Download the "DirectX End-User Runtimes (November 2008)" from the following link:
