There is much
to discover inside iClone3 and we are excited to set you on your
journey into the most powerful toolset in real-time 3D animation.
What we have not included in iClone3 is your stories and your imagination;
the heart of iClone. All of the engineers and Reallusion visionaries
have spent countless hours pioneering and fine-tuning this release,
yet the real killer feature and true magic of iClone is YOU. Welcome
to the 3D Movie Machine, iClone3.
Brand-new
Features for Standard and PRO Editions
Brand-new
Program User Interface
Inside the 3D viewer, make multiple object selections
and directly click and drag to move, rotate, scale,
copy, and delete.
The Right-click Menu System and Scene Manager keep
you from having to search everywhere around the user
interface for the right tool.
Dual
Engine: Editor Mode and Director Mode
Reallusion has reinvented moviemaking with an ideology:
CREATE - PLAY - EDIT - SHARE, which allows you to
play-to-create your movie.
Innovative Dual Engine for filmmaking - Editor Mode:
Create your scene and define your actors; Director
Mode: Filmmaking is just like playing a videogame.
Multi-actor
Dialog and Motion Management System
Easily drag and drop actors into the scene for positioning
and editing.
Every actor has its own set of Timeline tracks for
motion, position, facial animation, hand gestures
and more.
Enhanced
Real-time Render Quality
Advanced real-time render technology for natural
water. Point-light, Spotlight, and Directional light
- all there for your use.
Any object can have its own shader type, eg. Pixel
Shader (the best), Quick Shader (the default), wireframe,
bonding mesh, or even hidden.
Interaction
and DramaScript
DramaScript is data used to associate a hot-key
and right-click menu operation to control live actor
movement, movement on the terrain, how to sit on a
chair, drive a car, fire a weapon or ignite an explosion.
Create your own unique movement behavior, automate
the character personality, and invent your own interactive
props (iProps) by editing and saving the DramaScripts.
Multiple
Camera System
Add as many cameras to the scene and switch them
as you like.
Live camera recording using fly, walk and follow
cameras with videogame-like hot-keys.
Over 30 Timeline tracks to precisely
control all movie elements in the project such
as characters, props, lighting, camera, special
effects, and sound tracks.
Full Avatar Track Management
for multi-actor dialog and sophisticated motion
performance.
Each type of object has its own list of actions
and tools. Just right-click any model to bring up
the object menu and your options for editing and interactivity
are there.
The Right-click Menu System keeps you from having
to search everywhere around the user interface for
the right tool.
Tab
Track Editing:
Create action in your movie using actors, props,
etc, and scrub the playbar to select an area that
needs refinement. Then, re-record what you don't like
from the chosen playhead position.
You will see yellow highlighted action segments
when you tab or reverse tab on the playbar. The segments
in the playbar correspond to the active selected object
or actor.
Tab Track Editing helps you to easily jump to a
motion editing point, delete old data, or record new
motion and do it all from the main playbar.
Direct
3D Object Manipulation:
Inside the 3D viewer, make multiple object selections
and directly click and drag to move, rotate, scale,
copy, and delete. It is no longer necessary to touch
modify panel for object positioning.
Scene
Manager:
All assets in your project are listed inside the
Scene Manager user interface panel.
Quick access lets you locate any object without
the need to search the scene to find your model.
Pick an item and then name or rename it in the Scene
Manager.
Select an item from the list and press the (F) key
to instantly pop the front camera view to that object.
Use the Scene Manager to hide items so you do not
waste 3D rendering power.
Casting
& Actor Style
G3
Character:
Meet Trey and Trinity - the new iClone3 G3 actor
body styles.
G3 actors are lower polygon for better performance
and higher quality with the use of texture shaping
normal maps.
Content
Creation Pipeline:
Plug-in for Autodesk 3DS Max Character Studio to
generate character motions or rig custom character
models.
Zbrush Zmapper generates normal maps with the iClone3
OBJ actor template. Create actors with wrinkles or
better body definition and muscle tone.
Motion
& Interactivity
Attach
and Link:
Attach and link selected objects to a parent object
to create a component of linked objects.
Detach your linked component and reuse it after
you add them to the library. This allows any linked
component to be taken apart even after saving.
Link and detach the relation during animation so
objects can be attached and released from other objects
in motion. For example, throwing a ball. The ball
begins linked to the hand to follow the motion of
the hand and then detached when thrown into the sky.
Motion
Editing:
Motion Building System with IK and FK (Forward Kinematics
and Inverse Kinematics).
Create and edit actor motion in-scene within the
3D preview window.
Directly pick the target segment of the body (arm,
finger, leg, etc.) and pose your actor with ease.
In Director Mode, puppet the actor through the scene
and switch to Editor mode to modify the animation.
Motion Layer editing is designed to easily modify
and blend motion capture files with custom motion
and poses.
For example: Load a motion clip like a walk-cycle
and then pose and animate the arm with the motion
layer so the actor can walk and wave combining the
motion clip from the iClone library with your own
custom animation.
All motion editing features of the previous Motion
Editor are replaced by the new motion builder timeline.
CrazyTalk5
CTS import:
CrazyTalk5 compatibility adds the power of real-time
facial puppeteering and facial motion clips.
Use CrazyTalk5 to create an unlimited library of
facial animation and non-verbal expressions.
