Easy access to the full camera system in any project. Select
and switch cameras from this drop down menu. Adding new cameras
to the scene will automatically add them to this menu.
Preview Camera
Quickly navigate the scene with the preview camera to view
and edit all elements in your movie without
altering your camera animation. The preview camera is the
workhorse viewer in iClone3 and should be used to view the
scene whenever you are not setting cameras and camera animation
for the final render. Access the Preview Camera from the Multi-Cam
Tool in the top right of the 3D preview window.
Interactive and Studio Cameras
Multi-Camera system adds as many cameras to a project as
you like with dynamic Camera Smooth animation and lens and
Depth of Field (DOF).
Camera
Switcher timeline track for choosing the live camera view
from the cameras positioned throughout the scene.
Individual camera tracks in the Timeline for each camera
within the scene.
Control the handheld WalkCam or aerial FlyCam cameras with
live view recording for first-person point of view.
Use the Follow Cameras in actor or bird mode to move along
with the action and record every movement of any actor, prop
or vehicle.
Camera Link to Animated Target
Link any camera to an object with auto-follow
when the actor or prop moves. The camera view will stay with
the linked object and keep it in view throughout its entire
animation. Camera Link creates shots automatically without
having to keyframe and chase moving objects.
Camera Look-At
Different
from the Camera Link function, Camera Look-at keeps the camera
in it’s set position, but pivots the camera view to
always look at the defined target object. This is like a camera
on a tripod that always turns toward and films its target
Look-at object.
Face Look-at Camera
Direct actors to look directly
at the camera, even as the camera moves and regardless
of any assigned actor animation. This powerful feature
saves production time and makes it easy to direct actors
to look into the camera. Set this option from the Actor
Modify menu.
Lens Animation
Animate
the camera lens from a wide to narrow angle (20 – 200
mm) creating camera special effects made famous by Alfred
Hitchcock in movies like Vertigo and commonly called the Vertigo
effect.
Depth of Field (DOF)
Easily
click to pick a focus target, change DOF and do further range
settings, (range, distance). Animate DOF to increase the dramatic
style of your film with rack focusing and blurring from one
focal length to another.
Clipping Plane
Define the clipping plane to save
performance during editing. The Clipping Plane defines the
real-time rendering view distance.
