Issue 466
Genesis 2 Facial DUF file not working in DAZ 4.9.2
I recently upgraded my version of DAZ to 4.9.2 and noted that the DUF facial expressions do not work properly now...

The head and eyes move but the jaw and mouth will not. I tried manually creating custom expressions and while the customs work, I cannot get the vizime files to work so the characters can speak when I load wav files.

As both DAZ and Reallusion are making upgrades I am not sure what broke or how so I felt I should tell you guys about this as well...maybe you can upgrade the DUF to work in DAZ 4.9.2 or tell me a work around?

TY for your help,

A

Is there a plan to fix this soon?

Thank you very much for your feedback.

We tried to reproduce this issue in test environment and found no facial animation data available in the exported Fbx file from Daz v4.9.2. You will also get the same result if you load it to Autodesk Maya.

However, if you load the DUF files (e.g. Genesis2_Female_iCloneFaceKey, or Genesis2_Male_iCloneFaceKey ) to Daz 4.8 and export the Fbx file, then you load the file to 3DXchange 6, you will get the correct result.

So apparently DAZ have updated their fbx export feature in the latest version and now the face avatar key sequence animation files for Genesis and Genesis 2 no longer work with 3DXChange. We're expected to manually map every single character manually or something which is just ridiculous. I really don't have time for that.
